Welcome to Locals Trading (“Locals”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our mobile application, website, and services (together, the “Platform”). By booking a service, making a purchase, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use our Platform.

1. Eligibility

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract under the laws of the State of Qatar.
There is no strict minimum age requirement; however, if you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Platform.

2. Account Registration & Guest Checkout

You may create an account for a personalized experience, or you may choose to checkout as a guest.
Whether registered or guest, you must provide accurate and complete information, including contact and payment details.
You are responsible for keeping your account login details secure and confidential.

3. Nature of Services & Products

Locals Trading is an online marketplace platform that connects customers with independent service providers and merchants (“Vendors”).
Vendors are solely responsible for providing the services and/or products you book or purchase through the Platform.
Locals Trading is not a service provider or product seller and does not control, guarantee, or warrant the quality, safety, timing, or accuracy of Vendor services or products.

4. Bookings & Payments

All bookings and purchases must be made through the Platform.
Payment will be processed securely via our integrated payment gateway.
By confirming a booking, you authorize Locals Trading to charge your selected payment method for the full amount.
Locals Trading may hold payments in escrow until services or products are delivered.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

More than 1 hour before appointment/delivery: You may cancel and receive a full refund either (i) back to your original payment method or (ii) as wallet credit on Locals Trading.
Less than 1 hour before appointment/delivery: The Vendor will be entitled to retain the booking amount. Your refund will be issued as wallet credit, which may only be redeemed with the same Vendor for a future booking or purchase.
Wallet Credits Validity: Credits will not expire as long as the Vendor remains active on the Platform. If the Vendor is no longer available, credits will remain valid and may be used with any other Vendor.
Wallet credits are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be refunded to cash.
No-shows are treated as late cancellations.

6. Failure of Vendor to Deliver

If a Vendor fails to honor a confirmed booking or product delivery, Locals Trading will issue a full refund to you, either back to your original payment method or as wallet credit, at your choice.
Vendors who fail to honor bookings may face penalties, suspension, or removal from the Platform.

7. Customer Responsibilities

You must ensure your availability at the time of booking.
For home services, you must provide accurate address and access details, and ensure a safe environment for the Vendor.
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including making fraudulent bookings, providing false information, or engaging in abusive behavior toward Vendors or Locals staff.

8. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors must provide services and products as advertised and confirmed.
Vendors must honor confirmed bookings unless cancellation is unavoidable.
Vendors may not request direct payments from customers outside the Platform.
Vendors are solely responsible for the quality and safety of their services and products.

9. Wallet & Credits

Wallet credits may be issued as refunds or compensation, as described in these Terms.
Credits are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Credits remain valid as long as the Vendor is active on the Platform, or may be used with another Vendor if the original Vendor leaves.

10. Disclaimers

Locals Trading acts only as an intermediary between you and Vendors.
We do not provide or control Vendor services or products.
Locals Trading disclaims all liability for Vendor performance, except where explicitly stated in Section 6.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Locals Trading shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific booking or purchase giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Locals Trading, its employees, and affiliates from claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your breach of these Terms.
Your misuse of the Platform.
Disputes between you and Vendors.

13. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time.
Changes will be posted on the Platform and take effect upon your continued use of our services.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.
Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Qatari courts.
